All members are urged to attend our AGM on 14 February 2018. We welcome new people to help run the group - this is your chance to make a contribution to the organisation, and make suggestions about what you think we should be doing.
Members are elected at the AGM to take on particular responsibilities. We do not hold formal committee meetings, but communicate with each other by telephone or email.
At present members take turns in the roles of Chairperson and Secretary, so if you feel able to assist with one of these positions, or in any other way, please put your name forward - you do not have to wait for someone to nominate you. We would also welcome additional help with production of the newsletter. We currently have three members who edit Kingston Peace News on a rotating basis, but if you would like to join this team, even if only as an occasional editor, please let us know. We would give you help to get you started.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Unfortunately, nuclear weapons capable of killing millions of people still exist. CND is planning a programme of national events to commemorate the milestone and renew its campaign, and is urging local groups to organise their own events. Your ideas about what our group might do would be very welcome.
Contact either Gill (020 8979 2482) or Hilary (020 8898 4850) to discuss any of the above, or just come along to the AGM. Refreshments will be served.
We look forward to seeing you!
