International Conference on Military Tax Resistance.

Delegates from India, Nepal, and countries from Africa and South America will be attending a conference held at the University of Manchester on Friday 5^th September this year, to meet, discuss and learn from one another ways of resisting payment of taxes levied for use by the military. KPN readers will be aware of the British group Conscience, which supports conscientious objectors here. In other countries much more severe penalties are meted out to such objectors (including the death penalty). Paula Hollings, of Conscience, has called for donations, to be used to finance travel and other costs of delegates.
