Wanted

1. The Peace Pledge Union (PPU), as part of its CO Project, is gathering information on Conscientious Objectors and would be very pleased to hear from former COs or their relatives/friends. The aim of the project is to promote a better understanding of war and the arguments against it through the eyes and activities of its radical opponents. Voices arguing against war are often marginalised, sometimes ridiculed but mostly unknown. Names alone would be valuable for the archive but obviously memories, statements, letters etc would be even better. Visit www.ppu.org.uk/coproject or visit in person on Saturday 17 May, 11am-3pm, when PPU is holding an open day to launch its CO Resource Centre.

2. The Peace Museum, Bradford, the only peace museum in the UK, is trying to build up its collection. At present it has some 6,000 donated items including posters, banners, books, campaign materials, photos, WWI and WWII letters, music, films, tapes, a caravan and petitions, but more is needed. The museum would like to hear from anyone who has 3-D objects or 2-D items - copies or originals - which they would be willing to give or loan. Other information sources would be gratefully received, too, to enable stories to be told.
